Series 2 begins with Masters dealing with the ramifications of his disastrous presentation and being fired from the hospital. Meanwhile, Libby urges Masters to get another job; and Virginia fights off advances and innuendos stemming from the belief that she was the woman in Master's explicit film.

@youandwhatband Thanks, I have problems with understanding him. I know bc it's obvious he's afraid of many things regarding her but I didn't understand how he could say to her that he cannot live without her... which is a very big statement! And after that simply tells her that she's a kind of entertainment only, that what is between them isn't important and big enough to call it "an affair". Also I don't understand how many times he says sth like that to her without regard what it could mean to her and how is he hurting her... like a coward wanting to hurt someone before she will hurt him ;/
@CrimsonLips He's trying to protect himself from heartbreak. He doesn't want to show Virginia how much he needs her because he's afraid she doesn't need him. He's trying to save face.
And as always I don't understand what's in Bill's mind... so quickly changing from "I can't live without you" to "We don't have an affair. I'm happily married" -.-
