Lt. James Gordon, newly arrived in Gotham, sets out to fight the crime that threatens to overwhelm the city despite corruption both inside and outside of the police department. For his first case he must solve the murder of socialites Thomas and Martha Wayne... and help their orphaned son Bruce cope with his loss.

I'm guessing/hopinh the show will resemble the Gotham Central comicbooks (they are amazing) except for a different time (pre Batman).
Would be cool if they'd also mix in some of the New52 Owls/Gotham background storyline but it seems like it'll mostly be origin type of stuff for different characters.
@clowntable That's what happens in pilot episodes, it is to sell the show and they do that by showing as much well know charachters as possible, to give a hint for further episodes.
All and all I am quite okay with the cast, but indeed Barbara Gordon seems a bit weird and I just don't like Alfred. He just sounds too much working class, when he needs to be more posh.
Decent pilot, hope it gets better.

See Barbara Gordon as the most basic white trash bitch you've never seen before.
Decent start but they crammed too many name recognition characters into it. Don't like the Gordon actor all that much...irritating eye movement. Cat woman seemd pretty bad.
Riddler+Penguin actors seem like great choices.
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't REALLY good either. But I'll keep watching it, since it's comic stuff. I just don't know yet if I'll follow it on a weekly basis or if I'll wait until winter.
