@kansai2kansas Just a correction: the world worships Cristiano Ronaldo, not only us. :p
(i know there's a lot of hate on him, but still...)
I think the Belgians should not underestimate the US, but in the end I think Belgium will win though..
@kakature I am not too knowledgeable on Belgian team, but seeing that Belgium won all three of its group matches, I expect that Belgium will show solid play as they did before. As an American, I hope that USA will win this match. People expected that the lack of Donovan would leave USA with a guaranteed elimination, but as a matter of fact, Portugal (a country that worships Cristiano Ronaldo) and Ghana are the ones that went home.
We Americans are putting a lot of faith on Tim Howard and Dempsey and especially Klinsmann. They have not ceased to surprise us many times.
My speculation is that the match will end up draw and then go to extra time or even penalty kicks. Whichever side wins, I'd be happy for them.
@kansai2kansas What's your thought on the US versus Belgium next Tuesday?
Considering what was at stake for both USA and Germany (which was none, as long as they had a draw game), I am quite pleased to see both sides giving their best. As expected, Müller doesn't fail to bring glory to Germany.
