Is The Walking Dead S05E08 the starkest chapter in the whole series? I think so, and is an example of that is reaching maturity this season.

Beth finally dead, show watchable now
I was also spoiled before seeing the episode so it lost the shock element, and now all that is left to say is: fuck this.
SHOW SPOILER This means that I have to watch at least half a season more of Maggie. Why couldn't she be the one to die and not Beth? Beth still had growing to do, she could have been great and I was looking forward to see her friendship with Noah blossom. Meanwhile Maggie has nothing to offer and ever since she was introduced Glenn has been useless. Offing Maggie could give a chance to bring back the awesome Glenn that he was in the first season.
