@heartofacloud I get where you're coming from, but I feel like you're ignoring the fact that many of the women on the show have overcome major trauma and/or abuse. Bobbi is an obvious example. Two of the show's lead female characters are or color. One of the male characters is as well. At some point, there's no way a show can ever get it right anymore. Raina's death serves a larger plot, but that plot is in service of Skye's storyline regarding her mother. Skye's mother dies in the end because of her own decisions, and I think it's hard to deny that the show put effort into making that decision understandavle given all that was done to her. Agent 33 does die to serve Ward's twisted storyline, but him getting to run Hydra is hardly a compliment, it just means he gets to still be an evil bastard. Agent 33 was never a major player. The other two characters had come to a logical conclusion in their arch.

@Mitholas Oh great, a white man died in the whole season so it's okay that 3 WOC abuse survivors died in the 2 hours finale. I don't mind characters dying, I mind when the death is for absolutely no reason other than furthering some dude's storyline. Raina died for Skye's storyline so while I'm not happy, I can deal with it, Kara died so they could send Ward off on his supervillain bs (what is crap and I also have a LOT of issues on how the show dealt with the abuse he suffered) and Jiaying died so they could redeem Cal.
I don't mind characters dying, I mind how they die, those deaths were especially shitty cause they come from how crappy the whole show is at dealing with people who suffered abuse and more glaring than Ward's treatment because it's way too common that women (WOC particularly) are told to shut up about being abused so as not to become any less than they are and not to disturb the status quo. And while they die, Ward is getting to run HYDRA because of it so his abuse is serving to empower, not silence him.

@heartofacloud Come on, though. The show makes the effort to cast actors of several races, and now the problem is that they are not immune to being killed off? Throughout the season, several men died, one of which was white (Whitehall) and one of which was of Hispanic descent (Edward James Olmos's character).

Considering this is a superhero show (mostly) for kids and that the first season was really poor, this season finale was breathtaking. I don't expect this show to be perfect, only to be fun and, oh boy, what a great couple of episodes.

Agents of we just killed off two WOC cause they did not have the right support system to deal with their abuse and were being too loud about it.
But of course the dudes are just fine, let them just forget everything or gain power from it and just carry on with their lives.

@fuertecito Maybe I just expected more as the 1st season finale was great and most of the episodes from the plot with the powers as well.
