Kosem Sultan, has been ruling the Ottoman Empire as Sultan Regent in the name of her son, Murad IV, however when the traitor raises rebellion and country falls in chaos Murad decides to take the absolute power in his hands, pushing his mother aside. The first in history of Empire war between mother and son is about to begin.
In the meantime, Hungarian princess Farya Bethlen arrives to Istanbul. Farya seeks to take refuge from her uncle at the court of Sultan Murad. She also carries with her some big secret. She does not yet know that she will fall in love with Sultan Murad, will bear his children, and will be completely transformed by love. Sultan Murad wants to restore his empire former glory. He suppresses the uprising, chases traitors, runs great wars. And he wins.
Sultan Murad gives death sentence for his brothers to protect his own children. However he will have to pay the ultimate price for his victory and power.
