Jon takes Garfield and Odie to visit a historical American village, but the people there want to run him out of town! Jon finds out from a historical diary that he had an ancestor named "Long Jon," who was a pirate and a traitor to the American cause. As Garfield and Odie read it, Odie drools on the pages revealing entries written in invisible ink. These pages brought out new information - that Long Jon was actually a spy for George Washington!
