I'm confident this was just a sort of overlooked or hard but necessary buildup episode before the final, as @linker said.

And I can't question californications great finales. :D

It's too damn soo to have to wait for a new season again. AUUGHH

I dont know if i wanted hank to go to the jail or not.. i was kind of relieved when they throw him the not guilty party.. but kind of disappointed.. As somebody already said - possibly the worst episode of this season..
