After Nightmare Moon's decree of eternal night, Twilight Sparkle, with the addition of her new friends, sets out to find the Elements of Harmony in order to defeat Nightmare Moon. Twilight learns that the Elements of Harmony are none other than herself and her new friends, who represent Honesty, Laughter, Kindness, Generosity, Loyalty, and Magic. After defeating Nightmare Moon, Princess Celestia appears and forgives her little sister Princess Luna, for turning against her and becoming Nightmare Moon.
