Who are the MythBusters? Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage are the hosts and the MythBusters. Joining them are Tory Belleci, Grant Imahara and Kari Byron. What do they do? The show takes myths like Can you make a boat out of paper and ice? and has to state whether the myth in their opinions Busted (the myth is wrong), Confirmed (the myth is right), or Plausible (it could possibly happen).
Each episode takes a different look at myths from ages ago or ones that they have just heard about. The show also gets a lot of myths from its website where fans go to submit myths to the show.

@Muscleduck Yeah, the episodes are always off. I don't think it's followmy.tv's fault though, I think Discovery changes it a lot.

Right guys, some Moderator really needs to take a look at all the episode listings of Mythbusters, because far too often the listings are wrong. Just take a look at the comments below or at individual episodes. Way too many times hasn't the episode been aired yet although Followmy.tv says it has. Even vice versa a couple times if I remember correctly.

I think this show lost its magic. The science part is completely gone and everything is scripted. It always was a little scripted and the scientific method was neglected quite a bit, but now it's just too much. I am almost ashamed to admit it, since I loved this show a lot, but now it sucks. It really does.
episodes are all messed up, on imdb is s14, on tvdb is s12, here is s13, i don't know who is right.
Last episode was a special, and like most specials, having other guests on the show usually shows how much of this is scripted, so I don't really like it. The regular cast acts quite familiar, which I somehow don't mind, but when (in this case) other people who aren't as used to doing the scripted parts of the show come on, they kinda ruin it. Nevertheless, a few interesting experiments to which the answer was already know. Why do I still love this show?! :P I have a lot to remark about it, but still watch it with pleasure every time! Strange. Best episode for me so far is... I think.. The Duct-tape on a deserted island special. Loved that. I love all Duct-tape episodes! The countdown of biggest explosions in Mythbusters was also quite nice, seeing all those old episodes.
Mythbusters is not on season 13, it's on season 12!

Mythbusters Season 9 has been pretty good. I think it's worlds better than 8. Can't finger what sucked, what changed - but I'm happy it's good again.

@Muscleduck I'm also saddened. I'd like to have my Mythbusters back, but I don't see it happening.
It helps the pain when you see jumping the shark and cancellation as inevitable :)
I don't know what's happening to Mythbusters but I do NOT like it. Season 8 hasen't been what Mythbusters used to be.
It's on the site, 8.23 aired a few days ago already.
