People saying the acting sucks, here's a question: why are you watching this in the first place? You aren't here to watch Charlie Sheen act. If you are... maybe a CAT scan or MRI should help... get that brain checked out, haha :D
... but on a serious note, this is the very definition of a situation comedy. They never, ever, ever, ever, EVER try to write anything beyond getting a laugh, and beyond the episode. And of course they're trying to replicate what Two and Half Men was, because at the heart of it, Two and a Half Men is also just a generic situation comedy, that was carried for 7 years by chemistry between Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, and it's being exposed for the kind of generic show it is with Ashton Kutcher as lead.
It's excellent filler for when you have nothing else to watch and don't want anything heavy.
Love this show and FX have just ordered another 90 episodes.

i like it anyway
@nametaken Not only the acting sucks, but the jokes are also really bad... I have watched 5 episodes and I have made up my mind. *Unfollow*
@justmike The acting just sucks, maybe it would be funny but there's just no chemistry between the actors.
@nametaken That's why I'm not following it anymore...
This really ain't that good imho
@adeprol You're kinda right. They are trying to hard to make it like two and a half men. Because they have charlie.
well i've seen episode 1.
I think it's made funny, not really natural.
You can see their goal was funny lines.
Well i'm probably not explaining this right, but the conversations just don't feels real.
pretty much the same as two and a half men used to be, still miss some of the old character types though, like there isn't an Allen. Doesn't matter though, this can be pretty promising. Two and a half men itself changed a lot with Kutcher, so it's like a different show now (not a bad one).
I guess what I'm trying to say is: We now sorta have 2 two and a half men shows. Hope that turns out alright.
