Clearly, you haven't seen the CGI in Star Trek or Babylon 5. Yet, they are amongst the greatest sci-fi shows ever.
This show already kinda -- how can I really put it. . .
Flat, lazy, undeveloped and rife with the emptiness that comes from trying to make two things linked at the beginning.
The game isn't good, the pilot isn't good (though neither is awful) and everything is just pretty damn meh. I blame most of it on the art design to be honest.
Really, this show reminds me of Firefly. It's awkward and the acting is just. . .bad. . .. and nothing about the writing really helps that, plus the actual scifi bits are just . . meh.
OF course, people loved Firefly AFTER it was cancelled, so maybe this one will have more positive responses in coming weeks.

@navinpais Seriously? Look the CGI -is- bad but movies from the 80s have exactly 0 fully CGI anythings. Even Zuul and the Stay-Puffed Marshmallow Man were largely practical effects. Why? Because a proper -computer- didn't exist until the mid-90s. Windows 95 was rather the beginning of all that.
There's right, and there's exaggeration, but I really wish people would tone down the damned exaggeration a little at least. It's gotten to the point it's jsut trolling, or else all the people on the internet are either too young, or simply don't remember 80s and 90s stuff. Nevermind the fact age shouldn't really matter -- the games and especially movies are still there for the picking.

Great pilot! Love to see this going somewhere, very interesting setting! Yeah the CGI lacked some quality from time to time, but if that is a reason for people to stop watching, they are graphic-whores. Frankly, those people are probably not that into sci-fi.

one more shitty show from SyFy, its more like their low budget movies than a show, at some parts the CGI is so bad, its like watching a b-grade movie made in the 80s, & lets not even go to the story, its like as if they had a competition for anyone who was allowed to pitch in ideas, to see who can put the most unoriginal ideas into the script & sadly for us, no one lost.
The problem with SyFy, idiots are more concerned with quantity than quality, & taking advantage of the tax breaks they get in Canada, who cares if the end product is shit.
