Phil Coulson heads an elite team of fellow agents with the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. This show's first season should have been split up into 2 parts where the first part should have never been made nor watched. I've never seen a show with such a steep comeback within the same season. Even though the show is filled with mediocre acting, somewhat cheaper CGI, very flat characters and somewhat random filler, they still managed to amuse me with lots of Marvel side stories and the more than occasional cheesy one liners, reference or cameo. The suspense builds up quite nicely at the end of the season. More than worth watching if you're a die hard Marvel fanboy. Skip the first 10 episodes if you're not.

It's a great show, the final was really good. Not too dramatic and there was place for a little humour like always !

I love this show. I really don't understand why so many people don't like it. Shows take time to develop characters just like a book. I'll admit it was a little slow at the start but it has totally picked up the pace .
Had to unfollow. It's a shame because i really wanted to like this new show from Joss Whedon, but it lacks true character interactions, the stories are boring and the witty dialogue seems forced.
@Niels1988 fringe was good? it was the same as this. weird crap after weird crap and butchered science. ONE episode of almost human was decent, the rest are cliched and average. and this was already renewed, considering the amount of money this has riding on it. wish they put more of that money into better writing because some episodes make me cringe.
@Lordindo Way better alternatives if you are looking for something that you just described. Being Fringe on the number 1 spot followed by Almost Human which started just a couple of weeks ago. More depth and character dev than all of this SHIELD crap. I don't expect this series to see a second season.

Some weird expectations am I reading here. This show was never supposed to be about particular superheroes and/or villains. This show is about S.H.I.E.L.D. the human force behind the superheroes. Look at Hawkeye and Black Widow from the Avengers, those two are S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and although very talented, not really superheroes.
People shouldn't watch this show as something from Marvel, but more as a show about a human 'police force' counter-acting the more unusual things that happen in the world.
Where are all the superheroes and/or villains? No interesting powers or anything. So far it's just boring stuff after boring stuff.
like @thea says, it really needs some direction as to where the show's going. i hope finding more about tahiti will give the show the boost it needs. right now it's just average filler after average filler.
