Andre 'Dr' Johnson (Anthony Anderson) has a great job, a beautiful wife, Rainbow (Tracee Ellis Ross), four kids and a colonial home in the 'burbs. But has success brought too much assimilation for this black family? With a little help from his dad (Laurence Fishburne), Dre sets out to establish a sense of cultural identity for his family that honors their past while embracing the future.

Sometimes this show is freakishly smart. Although it has a few not-so-good episodes, the first season was a very solid beginning. Plus Jack and Diane are amazing and even when I don’t like an episode /that/ much, I enjoy their acting.
I love this show! Plus: Raven-Symoné will be joining the cast. I am overjoyed, this is absolutely fantastic, I can't WAIT to see her on TV again. Yesss!
This is fantastic. I just hope they can keep up the humor and the smart discussion around race once Larry Wilmore's not involved in the show.
