From Emmy Award-winning directors Joe and Anthony Russo (Arrested Development) comes Community, a smart comedy series about higher education -- and lower expectations. The student body at Greendale Community College is made up of high-school losers, newly divorced housewives, and old people who want to keep their minds active. Within these not-so-hallowed halls, Community focuses on a band of misfits, at the center of which is a fast-talkin' lawyer whose degree has been revoked (Joel McHale), who form a study group and end up learning a lot more about themselves than they do about their course work.

Did you also notice how they're actually trying to set things straight for Chevy/Pierce in the latest episodes?
Don't really like Chevy, but in this case I don't think he was wrong to protest / leave the show & I actually appreciate the effort in episodes 407 & 408, how cheesy they may be.. :)

I understand why Chevy Chase wanted to leave. Although this season is quite enjoyable so far (not as good as the previous seasons though), the parts wherein Pierce was staged were complete rubbish. Not even remotely funny.
It seems the new writers/director didn't have a proper role or plan for Pierce in this season so I can see why he wanted out. I'm sad to say this, but Community can go on without Pierce.
Hopefully for six seasons and a movie ;')
i am happy to say that this season is also incredibly good. please ignore my last really dark comment. though i am sad chevy chase has left and that the show will end this season, i guess we get a few really good episodes now.
