Toward the end of the 19th century, Allen Walker officially joins the organization of Exorcists that destroy the beings known as Akuma; mechanic weapons made by the Millennium Earl with the suffering souls of the dead. Allen has both a cursed eye and an anti-Akuma weapon as an arm, bearing the power of "Innocence," a gift given to him as an apostle of God. Allen, along with his fellow Exorcists must put a stop to the Millennium Earl's ultimate plot that could lead to the destruction of the world and all who live on it.

I got to ep 51 before I got completely sick of it. I Los interest around ep 15. The first couple of stories were way better anyway, but it's just that it's one of those endless shonen shows that can only repeat itself. Dragonball (and z and gt), sailor moon, Yu Yu hakusho and inuyasha wee the only anime like that I ever was gla were built to be all but unending, but each of those had an ending I think actually justified them. D.gray man is even more ridiculously transparent than any of those, and I've just gotten too damn old for that kind of show. Depending on your definition of suitable for children though, I think preteens would love it.
