How I Met Your Mother is a comedy about Ted (Josh Radnor) and how he fell in love. When Ted's best friend, Marshall (Jason Segal, Freaks and Geeks), decides to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Lily (Alyson Hannigan, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Ted realizes that time may be running out on finding the love of his life. His friend Barney (Neil Patrick Harris, Doogie Howser MD) is the anti-Marshall, a guy who thinks he knows everything about meeting women and isn't afraid to tell you.

Too bad you can only rate the entire show and not the individual seasons. Season 2 and 3 are worth both 5 stars in my opinion, but Season 5 wouldn't even get 2 stars from me. Anyway, Season 6 is alright, the latest episode (Glitter) is probably the funniest one since the start of season 4.

@Snowyflake It's not that I care about who the mother is, that would've been really frustrating :P It's more that they try to tease you with revealing the mother (like in the newest episode, where they want you to think the blond girl might be the mom). It always turns out not to be the mother, it's never a surprise and thus, the plot device just doesn't work. It does, however, remain a fairly funny show, so I'll keep watching.
Btw, I wonder if they will end with Ted meeting the mother (series finale ending with: "And that's how I met your mother" or something) or that we'll get the entire story until the kids are born, or even until they sit down on the couch to listen to his story.
@Jakurdo i ve stopped caring about who's the mother since s01e02 =D maybe they should put in a better storyline but the main reason to watch is because it's soooo funny =p
6th season just started. Pretty funny, but the endless mystery is getting pretty old (how about that ;)). It just feels so obvious that they aren't gonna tell you for a very long time. I believe that a 7th season is already confirmed, so I'm not getting my hopes up for meeting the mother any time soon.
First seasons were great, now it's just... meh.
I hope they use season 6 to wrap it all up. The story gets stretched out too much.
Season 5 wasn't that great to be fair. The show is just lucky it can always fall back on Barney to save their episodes (challenge accepted! :D) but to me it looks like it's about time to wrap it up with 1 last season. Unless they manage to turn things around.
