I think this episode was better then the whole last season!
James Spader was dead on. Great addition. I had my reservations about him on this show, even though I am a fan, but he exceeded my expectations. The character is better now than it was when he was applying last season.
With that said, the show is still not that funny. I did like this episode a bit more than most of the episodes the past few years, but I suppose that isn't saying much.
I think it could get better. I didn't hate their new boss choice (Surprisingly there is a lot of potential there) and I think Spader could rise up to the challenge as the CEO. His "Probably shouldn't have said that" line and delivery were so good. The look on his face was priceless.
I think this is a wait and see season. It is good enough to watch and may get better as the season goes on.
