Part 1 of Martin Scorsese's sprawling, two-part profile of George Harrison (1943-2001) covers his years in the Beatles, including their early gigs in Germany and meteoric rise to fame, and his experimentation with drugs, religion and Indian music. Also featured are archival photographs, film footage and interviews with Harrison, as well as remarks by his Fab Four mates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, and Eric Clapton, George Martin, Ravi Shankar, Klaus Voormann and Astrid Kirchherr.
