While Irisa takes offense at a Castithan ritual that involves the torture of an offender, Nolan and Rafe take an expedition into Old St. Louis to find the traitor Ben, who has escaped imprisonment and plans to complete his plan to destroy Defiance.

Second episode and it's very boring. 42 minutes and almost nothing happened. Still a lot of potential, just like oranges said. Maybe it's just like Arrow, first 6 were just to introduce the whole show. So I'll definitely keep watching, but I won't get my hopes up.

@josbeir haha, yeah the whole race looks a lot like the wraith without their feeding habits and cigarette voices!

@oranges i must agree but the scifi geek in me is pushing me to keep watching this... as crappy as it is at the moment. A bit like 'Revolution' where i must admit that it keeps getting better.

Also, is it me or did they somehow recover the wraith wigs from SG-A ? :-)

Not doing it for me. This isn't awful, but I'd rather spend my time watching an older series or reading a book. The show just isn't interesting, like, at all.

This still has the potential to become very good of course, but that seems pretty unlikely. The costumes tell me that not enough love has gone ito this. They're boring. A little western influence, earthy colours, some henley tees, a funny collar..

CGI has been fine. I wouldn't really care regardless, but there isn't anything wrong with it.

It's mainly the writing - the characters, the plot that just isn't there.
