Resurrection - 1x01 - The Returned- Followmy.tv

I have to admit I sort of wanted to hate it. But it managed to not let me ;) The French series is awesome and so refreshingly charming and different and most important so unamerican. I have nothing against american series at all but sometimes its just great to have something different. I often see no point in remakes. This is not a 1:1 remake, and the pilot was actually not bad but if you have not seen the french series you should watch that and only watch this after if you have nothing better to do.

The cast and styles alone is so stereotypical American. I prefer the tiny town french looking people over this anytime.

There is definately some charme and atmosphere missing here compared to "Les Revenants".

And now I am reading there will be yet another (real) adoptation of Les Revenants by Paul Abbot.

And all this after the the original not even aired its 2nd season. ( Cait wait for it ). Why? Because it got all kinds of awards and people love it, so americans directors and producers with no original ideas smell the money and want to jump the bandwagon. Well there still can emerge something great out of this. I stop the rant, again the pilot was not bad but would like it more if I not knew Les Revenants.
