Was already clear a long time ago i wouldn't get the ending i wanted. I had hoped for an ending where everyone finds out that he's a serial killer and he starts running from the cops, killing multiple people in the process to save himself from getting caugth and i would've loved if someone from his bureau shot him. Like Baptista or deb, oh well :(

More than evaluating the episode I'm evaluating the end, and I liked both. I did not expect the ending at all, and I liked that. There is a lot of controversy about the episode, but I understood what the writers want to transmit with it and I think that it was good. I still have to assimilate some of the things that happened and maybe change some things, but overall, I'd leave it the way it is (My rating: 4,5). This is a great, majestic and awesome series with its first five seasons and not so great last three. For me: 1>2>4>5>3>6>7>8 (Maybe I'd put the 8 season before the 7, but I'm not sure). Farewell, Dexter. You will be missed.

@Reverz ok, so he will die anyway, after 10 or 20 years... But before that, all these years he will suffer. Nothing else. Tell me that's not a punishment.

@mrOTHER except throughout the series we've seen multiple times that death only gives him peace when other people die. When his own live is in danger he was never calm...
I mean, I understand your perspective but then they should've set the ending up differently.

Why do you think that the last scene was so bad? That was exactly, what he deserved. Being lonely, separated from the society. It's much more fitting penalty than death - death wouldn't be harmful enough for him, because it was something he liked, something that used to give him peace. Remember, Dexter is still a sociopath - he loved Hannah and the rest for a while, but he kind of became sociopath again after Debra's death.

That finale sucked.

That was the worst possible fucking ending. Not like it should've had a happy ending but there were so many other options and I could've lived with every single one except this one. This was a disgrace... I'm going to be life titled for weeks now.

SHOW SPOILER Dumping Harrison and Hannah to feel sorry for himself for the rest of his life... fuck off.

the rating (2.6 atm) really speaks for itself.
the finale wasn't even slightly better then previous couple of shitty episodes. in fact it was way, way worse
