A confused and shaken Will returns from Minnesota alone, and the evidence suggests that he murdered Abigail. Hannibal convinces Will that he needs to turn himself in to the FBI. Once in custody, planted evidence courtesy of Hannibal makes Jack believe Will was the copycat killer all along. Even Alana becomes convinced. Desperate and alone, Will escapes, kidnaps Hannibal, and returns to Minnesota to prove his innocence. Unfortunately for Will, Hannibal is never without a plan.
