Wan's spirit shows Korra how he learned the other three elements and the reason why he eventually merged with Raava and became the first Avatar. His story makes Korra realize what she must do to restore balance to the physical and spirit worlds.

Such an amazing and beautiful double-episode!
The only downside is that it made realize that I'd probably prefer a simpler show about becoming better and staying in harmony with nature than the political-conspiracy-filled, action-packed, entertaining steampunk show that TLoK is.
I know that a Wan-oriented show would feel too much like a AtLA rip-off but watching a simple story about overcoming evil without any unnecessary annoyances or stubborn teenage protagonists was very refreshing.
