@Toms27 this is much better explained in the book. The moments seen in 2015 are flashbacks and the moments in wayward pines are the future. A few years after 2015 they stopped recruiting for wayward pines and everybody was frozen, then thawed in the 4000's

I liked this episode a lot. It answered a lot of questions. Some answers are inconsistent and raised some new questions. Can't wait for next episode.

Can someone please just explain to me how was Ethan in Wayward Pines in 4000ish but his family was in Seattle or w/e in 2015 "at the same time" and then they suddenly appeared? That's something that I didn't really understand.
And how did Sheriff Pope got Theresa and Ben when they were out of Wayward Pines on the road if he was in the same timeline as Ethan? Did I miss something or there is a lot of things that don't make sense?
I think what makes more sense it time travel instead of this hibernation thing, but maybe it's just me and I don't believe time travel is related to this show...

If, and it's a big if, it is true why the hell do they fuck with ppl like that?

They clearly have tons of people hibernating in pods...

@onlime I have the same questions... Ok, I get why not tell the adults... no, not really if I think about. Because there are obviously many adults who know about and their heads did not explode! Also, where is the food coming from? Do the people who make the food know what is going on?? Well... I need some answers soon ;-)

@onlime They don't tell most of the adults about it because they're afraid they can't handle it because they have lived to long in the pre-apocalyptic world. It's also not the plan to kill them off but they can not leave nor find out the truth so… The jobs are so that they can build up a new 'normal' society again, that's also why there is a first generation.

Wow. This doesn't make any sense! OK, I can live with the "2000 years have passed and humanity has evolved into predators" premise. But why take people into Wayward Pines and only tell the kids the truth? Why all these these absurd rules? Why keep bringing people in for killing them off later on? Why keep assigning the newcomers to useless occupations? Because we really need a realtor or a toy store keeper in a postapocalyptic world. Yeah.
