@Dukz You took the words straight out of my mouth! Coven may have flopped horribly by the end, but it at least grabbed my attention very quickly. I was in love with Misty instantly, and still adore Myrtle and Marie as well, but I find I barely care about anyone yet!

I share your hopes. My confidence in that happening dwindles a little bit every episode, but I do like to believe it'll pick up for the end. And if not, at least we'll get Lily!

@kenneththepage I agree, there isn't really any coherent plot to this. By the fifth episode of Coven there was already lots going on and it was interesting to follow, but in here the same doesn't apply. During the pilot I thought Dot and Bette would be in major role, but they haven't really done anything. Neither has anyone else, Mordrake just appeared and was a big deal for a while and then goodbye to him. Meanwhile we got Dell being angry, Jimmy angsting and Elsa having an existential crisis.. Oh, and Dandy killing people which honestly to me is the only interesting thing going on just because he is hilarious.

I'm just hoping that while the Coven started out great and then fell flat toward the end that Freak Show would do the opposite and become awesome toward the end, but we'll see... Can't wait to see Lily Rabe again tho!

@Sandrosaurus And that's what I'm saying.Where's the plot? It's going nowhere fast. But yea, I'm beyond excited to see Sister Mary again, she's one of my favourites from the show and I'm happy we get to see Lily!

@kenneththepage the only thing we know that will happen at the end of the season is that Pepper will be taken away by sister Mary (Asylum, yes she comes back in 4x10). So my guess is something terrible will happen to the freaks and Pepper will be left alone or something, some will die off course and some will run away?

@Sandrosaurus I've felt that too with season five. This season just feels way too slow and disconnected. Sure, Coven ended horribly but the characters and the plot (at least the intended plot) was far clearer and more fun than this. This is no more bizarre than any season, and it just feels messy and over-the-top. And not the good "AHS over-the-top" Iove, but as though he's trying to make it something it isn't. What other plots do we have other than Dandy killing people, and what is he even doing in the long run? It's just not that fun this season.

@kenneththepage We've got the whole Twisty story in the first for episodes and that was a catalyst for the Dandy story that is starting now. We are slowly learning about the characters, maybe a little to slow but still better than the whole season 3 if you ask me. Season 3 felt like an average YA serie, this feels like a bizarre something something and bizarre wins from YA. But everyone has their own opinion and that is making it fun. By the way I guess with all the TopHat's on the cups we will have AHS: Area 51 next year.

@Sandrosaurus Twin Peaks is far and beyond anything in this season. Nothing is happening

@kenneththepage this story is weird and weird is definitely better than the second part of the coven story. This story reminds me of Twin Peaks.

This is by far the weakest season. Anyone that likes this better than Coven must have watched someone get murdered while "Rhiannon" played in the back, because this is just boring.
