This was bad. Moll and L'ak aren't interesting enough to be the 'villains' of this season. The writing was so bad in this ep: the interrogation by Burnham was laughable, she just figures it out.. like magic. This happens all the time in Discovery, but it happened a lot in this episode. When faced with an obstacle they just figure it out and find the answer without any effort. There's absolutely no payoff in watching something like that because you know they will make up some bs.
Then there's the way Moll escapes from sickbay and the following scene in sickbay with the Breen was just bad. It's like both sides are filled with a bunch of amateurs who can't think ahead. The Breen are portrayed as very ruthless, threatening and powerful, but their actions just arent, they just do what Starfleet says.
SHOW SPOILER And of course, L'ak won't remain dead. He'll get resurrected in the final episode
