An old friend of Lightman asks him to look into a death caused by a new experimental drug. Foster and Loker help the U.S. government negotiate the release of two Americans about to be executed for possession of narcotics, while the US government attempts to hide their secrets from Foster and Loker. Also Lightman begins to take notice into Foster's husband's secrets.
