Mr Jack Hollins is a self-made millionaire at odds with values and life in the 1920s. His daughter Minnie strives to be an emancipated woman. She is an art student and a socialist, and longs for her own life away from home. Her father refuses to let her go and when she eventually escapes by marrying, Jack Hollins , through his money, still controls her life.
