Small update on current development status
to @all: I'm still thinking about all of this. I get a flood of 50+ messages each week with comments like "show x is not up to date". If I would fix all of those every day, I would not have time to actually code a fix for the rest.
I started work on the contribution system where our user base can self moderate the data. Including adding new shows / episodes. TheTVDB was a temporary fix for a bigger problem, its not a permanent fix and was never intended to be. It is an intermediate to get at least the most popular shows back up to date with episode numbers and titles.
Currently I'm swamped in a project at work that require me to work late nights for the last couple of weeks. Once we are passed the deadline I will be able to get back on track with fmtv development.

@TomF Bit annoying, but I'll forget to log them if I don't. If the site gets updated.

@TomF I've had to create a word documents of every show and episode I've watched that's not on the database. It's 2 pages long at the moment. Grows by the day. Even when mainly trying to stick to old Shows.
@ForgotMyLines I've been doing that as well, avoiding to watch some shows that are not updated here, because otherwise it would be too chaotic for me to keep track..
Last update was more than a month ago... Can you give us some info @Lemon ?
I'm finding so many shows not updating or not even existing on the site. Everything I go to log isn't there, unless I keep picking old shows that I know is on the database. Which is what I have been trying to do.
Been about a month and I see Lemon last logged in Dec 02, so doubt we're getting a fix soon.. But let's hope otherwise.
TVrage is supposed to be back up for good now, but their site never loads for me. I wish there was something I could do to help. And there's plenty of other folks who feel the same way.
The tvdb fix isn't working any more. New shows aren't being added, and episodes have stopped being updated again it seems. :/ Hopefully it gets fixed soon. Bring someone on to help with the next fix, or find a way to parse tvguide.com maybe?
An update would be nice, no pressure.
it's past the holidays now and all the TV shows are coming back from hiatus and barely any of it is updating. I miss the reliability of the old database (not your fault, I know).
I hope we get this new update soon... a new progress report would be great!

I'm one of those posting comments about updating shows. I thought that was ok, since you did update those in the beginning. I understand that the last couple of weeks there has been a huge lot of those comments. Hopefully these fixes you mention will work out and be implemented very soon :)
