BLUE BLOODS is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the New York Chief of Police and patriarch of the Reagan brood, which he heads as diplomatically as he does the force, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry (Len Cariou), during his stint as Chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), a seasoned detective, family man and Iraqi War vet who on occasion uses dubious tactics to solve cases. The sole Reagan woman in the family, Erin (Bridget Moynahan), is a N.Y. Assistant D.A. and newly single parent, who also serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father. Jamie (Will Estes) is the youngest Reagan, fresh out of Harvard Law and the family's "golden boy." However, unable to deny the family tradition, Jamie decided to give up a lucrative future in law and is now a newly minted cop, a career change seemingly supported by his beautiful girlfriend, Sydney Davenport (Dylan Moore), a first year lawyer. Jamie's life takes an abrupt turn, however, when he's asked to become part of a clandestine police investigation even his father knows nothing about, and one that could impact the family's legacy. Emmy Award winners Mitchell Burgess, Robin Green and Leonard Goldberg are executive producers for CBS Television Studios.

Why does this show not get updated with the new episodes of season six. they are already at episode six.
Watched sins of a father I'm disappointed that they did not show the son questioning his father for killing the officer
This show had (and kind of still has) the potential to be great, but they've fallen into the network trap of a case per episode. It's kind of not their fault, since they've been a Friday show since early on, and you can't really try new things on Friday's without some backlash, but I think by now they've established themselves. Their first 2-3 episodes of a season, and their last 2-3 are usually brilliant, but the problem as I said is just filler, murder per episode cases. I was willing to continue with this because the finales and season premieres have been so great, but after 3x22 SHOW SPOILER with the death of what I thought was the most promising new character, Jamie's partner Officer Vinnie Cruz, that made it seem like it was put there because it was near the end of the season and they needed to have something for empathy and "excitement".. it's disappointing when shows cater to their network structures and this will be unfollowed for me after the finale this season.
Monica Raymund (Lie To Me) has signed on:

Renewed:

they somehow completely lost the long story arc about that secret underground cop organization...
Best new series of 2010
Been watching this show from the start. One of the best new shows (perhaps even THE best) of 2010
Interesting twist near the end of the Pilot. This could turn out to be a very cool show (with a great cast I might add). Hopefully it won't just have a "one crime per episode" approach, but delve deeper in a season-long storyline.
