enjoyed it, reminded me of jericho a lot which is a good thing :)

Thanks for the review. I was planning on breaking my own rules and checking it out, but I only had time to watch one hour of tv, so I picked Game of Thrones. I will hopefully get a chance to watch it today.

I was hesitating and planning on waiting for ratings (Which sometimes take an extra day to come out for cable networks), but I don't see how this can fail. Not with all of the advertising they did. It should at least get a second season renewal without much effort.

Thanks again.

After only the first episode, I hate the children.

Resurge (Jun 20, 2011)

Oh wow, I seem to have watched something completely different.
It had a few glimpses of interesting things, but overall I was falling asleep.

I loved Jericho as well and imo Falling Skies can't hold a candle to it.

@josbeir I think it was great.

@ColeFrost I like your comparisons with other shows. If you considered The Walking Dead to be a benchmark, then I think this is the new benchmark. As much as we can know from 2 episodes, at least.
Within the first minutes, I had forgotten I was watching TV (as you should) and was well drawn in.

At the least, I think this tops Jericho. I loved Jericho. So far it's genuinely great.

Anyone worried this might be V has no need to worry.

josbeir (Jun 20, 2011)

@Lemon i ment band of brothers :)
Awaiting comments.... i need to wait 9 hours before i can see it :(

StevieG (Jun 19, 2011)

@Lemon I am awaiting your judgement ;)

ColeFrost (Jun 19, 2011)

I think he meant Band of Brothers.

Spielberg is only producing and it will be on a cable budget, so my hopes will be low. I think it could be alright. Jericho tried, but The Walking Dead was what made post-apocalyptic cool for tv. Hopefully, it is good.

Frantic (Jun 19, 2011)

@Lemon Let me know if it's good, so I know whether or not to waste my bandwith on it :p

oranges (Jun 19, 2011)

Excited here too. I think it'll be good :D

Lemon (Jun 19, 2011)

@josbeir Isn't Saving Private Ryan a movie?

josbeir (Jun 19, 2011)

@kakature not so sure of that, most Spielberg produced shows are quite good (taken, saving private ryan, ...).

Lemon (Jun 19, 2011)

Only 12 hours left for the pilot! Excited!

kakature (Jun 19, 2011)

I'm curious. Hoping it'll be good, but it probably won't be.

dieoff (Jun 16, 2011)
