PERSON OF INTEREST stars Jim Caviezel, Emmy Award winner Michael Emerson and Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson in a crime thriller about a presumed dead former-CIA agent who teams up with a mysterious billionaire to prevent violent crimes by using their own brand of vigilante justice.
Reese's (Caviezel) special training in covert operations appeals to Finch (Emerson), a software genius who invented a program that uses pattern recognition to identify people about to be involved in violent crimes. Using state-of-the-art surveillance technology, the two work outside of the law using Reese's adept skills and Finch's unlimited wealth to unravel the mystery of the person of interest and stop the crime before it happens. Reese's actions catch the attention of the NYPD, including homicide detective Carter (Henson), and Fusco (Kevin Chapman), a cop who Reese uses to his advantage. With infinite crimes to investigate, Reese and Finch find that the right person, with the right information, at the right time, can change everything.
Emmy Award winners J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk ("Lost"), Academy Award nominee Jonathan Nolan ("Memento"), David Semel ("Heroes") and Greg Plageman ("Cold Case") are the executive producers for Warner Bros. Television.

8 hours till series finale. Really curious what it will bring.. If it's anything like the past season..
It not only showed some glimpses of what made the show great in the past (simulations, ethical decisions) but it actually also attempted (and often succeeded) to put the core of the show front & center without having to worry about losing the casual viewer (both literally and figuratively). For me, season 5 was redemption for the many episodes (and seasons) where we saw a group of people waste a precious resource on saving a few people in the wider NYC area. They required just part of 1 episode SHOW SPOILER to show that the machine had been building a network of helpers (Hollywood convenience used for Good), several episodes weighing democracy vs. technocracy (in the current political climate I must unfortunately admit I'm leaning towards the latter), and overall it was a good showcase of what AI actually means: not just a machine spitting out numbers or analyzing individual AV feeds (god forbid on screen), but instead an omnipresent concept with the ability to do [insert magnitude]flops of calculations.
If just a fraction of Ray Kurzweil's predictions come true, we'll soon live in a world where our individual & combined intelligence is surpassed by computers. Asimov's Laws won't be much of a help then, as it takes just 1 asshole or 1 slip-up to get the ball rolling.
I just have 1 remaining question going into the final episode.. What's the final tally on Finch's mobile data plan?
@Astrid03 Okay, cool. Thanks for the info. Guess they wanna rush it to the end.
@b0sse I do not know the reasons, but for the last season, except for the first episode, there will be two episodes a week. They haven't really said why as far as I'm concerned. I think I read someone on Facebook saying it has something to do with wrapping up before another show will be starting at CBS but I am not sure.
Why was there 2 episodes this week? 5x02 and 5x03 aired 2 days apart only. Anybody know?
This is really annoying. Episode 3x17 is still giving "Page Not Found ...!" message, and since Help & Support is closed, there's no way to get this fixed. The ep has been in this "not found" state for a year soon.
I tried submitting the alternate episode title in TVRage for it, thinking that maybe Followmy.tv has trouble understanding the episode because of its name, but unfortunately TVRage rejected the alternative title. So if someone else knows what to do with this situation, it would be really cool if this episode was finally fixed so it can be checked and rated.

Is it just me or doesn't the page for season 3 episode 17 work? I'm not able to rate that episode because of it.
What an awesome season this year.
One of the best shows at the moment.
@TheThirdMark What do you mean? This show airs on Tuesdays this year.
I like it how this site says ''aired -insert date-'' and has been off 2 days for months now :D
Next episode will air Nov 20.
this show is really weird. it has some brilliant writing in a few episodes and also has examples of exceedingly bad plot.
when the F*** is the next season coming out?
WOW what a season finale!!!
This is just getting better and better
The music in this series is so frikkin' awesome! Made an album filled with hip hop from all of the episodes ;)
BSOD :)
The last episode (2x12) showed the full show's potential... and it's just awesome - the number one public TV drama.
the mid episodes are pretty weak and basically follow the procedural show formula. but the ones written specifically by jonathan nolan.... wow! the show is really good and a massive roster of villains and the slow reveal of the backstories is excellent. this show could potentially stretch out for a LONG time, which is great!
Really hoping for Person of Interest to be renewed for a third season, haven't seen any confirmation yet though, but ratings keep increasing so that's probably a good thing :)
