Show-stopping iconoclasts Penn & Teller bring their unique vision of the world to Discovery Channel with the new series "PENN & TELLER TELL A LIE", slated to launch this October.
Each episode will feature up to seven outrageous, hilarious and mind-blowing stories, told through a series of visual stunts, like: Is it true that a head of hair can lift a 5,000 pound car? Or, can you blow out a forest fire with a jet engine? However, in each episode, one of these stories will be a fabrication - an out and out lie! It will be up to Discovery's intrepid home audience to discover the untruths aimed at them through an exclusive, real-time interactive companion experience, synched to the show and available at Discovery.com, on the Discovery Channel App for iPad, and on iPhone.

First ep aired today. Not bad, but nothing special.
There have been other shows that do the whole 5 random stories bit before and in this episode at least, Penn and Teller weren't enough to differentiate from any of those.
I wasn't a fan of the live voting aspect. It seems a bit tacky to me. Who cares what anyone else thinks the lie is? Who feels the urge to tell others what they think it is??
If you like other similiar shows, you should like this one. You might find it frustrating and boring if you have good general knowledge.
