Secret agent Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) just received a burn notice -- a statement that a spy is unreliable and has been effectively fired -- for unknown reasons. Now, Westen must find out who issued the notice and why they did it without being able to use the resources and contacts he once had at his disposal.
While searching for answers, Weston receives help from Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar), an ex-IRA agent and Michael's ex-girlfriend and Sam Axe (Bruce Campbell), a former Navy SEAL skilled in surveillance. And then there's Madeline (Sharon Gless), Westen's overbearing mother who is unaware of her son's profession.
Created and written by Matt Nix, Burn Notice combines a mixture of action and a fresh sense of humor that combined result in a new breed of spy.

@Mutse Never ofc :D I just noticed that only in this show that they don't wear a bra :p
@Rambobe .............. why would you want her to wear a bra
The series is over, set the status to Ended :)
Does Fiona ever wear a bra?
Was a great series. What I really dislike though is that the middle seasons were a bit boring. Too much of the "we help this random person" compared to the story progression. That'll surely suck when watching it again in the future. The last seasons were much better again!
Goodbye Michael Westen.
Pretty incredible finale. Great way to go out, total BN style and didn't try to be something it's not. Sad to say goodbye but it was a good run.
Unbelievable. After the first and second season this series had become boring as HELL.
Then, season 7 starts and it's some of the best television currently broadcasting. Wow, can't wait for the season finale. They really stepped up for the last season!
EDIT: And then they end the series with the most cheesy finale ever, good job!
@starspike seconded
Renewed for 13ep 7th season.

God, I can't think of an episode where I didn't find Fiona super annoying. Really hate that bitch.
Yeah, um, just had to get that out... lol
first 2 seasons are excellent but now very generic. it is now repetitive and westen is now just a whiny b***h. also i can't believe that many explosions happen in one city

Definitely a season 6 coming :)
Great show
Started watching this yesterday and I'm not really sure what to think of it. The first half of the pilot I thought I was going to give it up for sure, but afterwards I started seeing some potential in it.... I'm gonna give it a few more episodes and then I'll see.
Jere Burns added for a recurring role:

Obviously something funky happening with the TVRage data for this. Does anyone know if 5x01 airs in 3 days or what exactly is happening?
EDIT: The internet seems to agree that season 5 starts Jun 23. 5x04 should air 14/June, so that's where the faulty info has come about.
Gosh, darn, premature excitement.
EDIT again. I submitted a fix for 5x04 on tvrage, but it requires approval.
Burn Notice excelled at standalone episodes for ages.
The most recent season, and perhaps before that, it started to stagnate. The writers try to give it arcs, but honestly they don't do a very good job.
I really hope they manage something special and it picks up. It's a great show.
