Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when the sun goes down lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it? On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman's life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously - and unbeknownst to her - had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future.

I liked it! Interesting setting and some good mystery.
Pilot was promising but very rushed, a bit cheesy and cliche at the times. But amusing.
@Jakurdo, it had great concept but it was slightly cheesy and actors didn't deliver except the General. Also it could have been dark themed rather than whole family thingy
@b0sse I agree with you...
@Jakurdo I like dinosaurs.
@Artifex How on earth could someone consider Terra Nova to be a great show? That show was horrible!
@DasRakel It's probably something about the earth losing it's magnetism (by some evil corporation no doubt) which somehow (it's still sci-fi, not sci) also effects electricity. Not ALL forms of energy.
@Lemon The river was shit too. Only one he mentioned that was actually a great show: Terra Nova.
@Lemon agreed. i saw parts of the pilot, and it's basically boring folks solving cold cases? and alcatraz prisoners aren't all that intriguing, it's the place itself.
@lucdeli true, but there is definitely a potential to create a world that would translate well on tv, where we always want to see more every week.
Looks awesome, but maybe it'd be a better idea for a movie...
@b0sse Alcatraz was shit imo

Just watched the trailer on IGN. Looks awesome, but also looks expensive, so it'll probably be cancelled after 1 season like all the other great shows lately. (Talking about you, Alcatraz, Terra Nova, The River etc)
AWESOME trailer
Here is a 4-minute long first look at J.J. Abrams new project:
http://www.nbc.com/revolution/video/Revolution/1401464
Written by Eric Kripke (Supernatural), pilot directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man), starring Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad’s Gus Fring).
@DasRakel I think it's more like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dies_the_Fire
If all forms of energy have gone, there can be no bloody planet.
The science in this show is going to suck.
