After nine months in a coma, Barry awakens to find his life has changed – a lightning accident has given him the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion – and not everyone is using their new powers for good. In the months since the accident, the city has seen a sharp increase in missing people, unexplained deaths and other strange phenomena.
Barry now has a renewed purpose – using his gift of speed to protect the innocent, while never giving up on his quest to solve his mother’s murder and clear his father’s name. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

Why there are no updates?
I also cannot stand the character of iris the self centred cow. I was waiting all the way through for them to kill her off as a major tragedy for barry but they didn't. Oh well :(
@fabian I feel your feels
I could list all the things I dislike about The Flash as a show and all the things wrong with it (like the cringe worthy script), however, it's an enjoyable show and I actually managed to watched the whole season.
Great show, I see why its rising in mainstream popularity for what should be a niche show for nerds.
amazing, how plain and uninteresting this show seemed in the beginning, and just how much better than arrow it has become in less than a season!
@fabian no you're not the only one!!
Am i the only one who can't stand Iris, such a whining child!
Just announced: <<The Flash>> will be getting a second season.
I had very high hopes for this after the brilliant Arrow episode in which they introduced Barry but I am unimpressed after the first 3 episodes... I'll keep watching for now though. The first half of Arrow season 1 was pretty mediocre as well so I reckon there's room for improvement.
@CrimsonLips Disagreed. It's the same kind of dark that Arrow is, only the characters are younger, unexperienced and they use comic relief more often. You can still find your fair share of DC darkness in this show, and it reminds me a lot of Arrow. If you like Arrow, there's a good change you'll like this too. It's the same persistant universe and it contains good DC lore (Only 2 episodes have aired, but I think I can say this with convidence)
I would describe it in one sentence like this:
It's Arrow with a junior and noobish protagonist, with more superpowers and a little less darkness, but a bit more comedy.
If someone like the kind of shows like Arrow ... Flash is not for him. This is comedy, with kids that do not really know what to do with the whole 'power' situation. Better kids were in The Tomorrow people.
Tho I'll be watching... just because it has some connection to Arrow and that Barry has a potential like Clark in Smallville had at the beginning being a total cabbage
Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield from Prison Break) has been confirmed as a cast member, he'll be playing SHOW SPOILER Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold
This looks awesome. I'm kind of disappointed that the pilot is still a few months away from airing.
It looks really good.
How come I didn't know this was going to be a series?! Very much looking forward to it!
This is gonna be awesome, I'm calling it
