The story begins when 30,000 Japanese gamers are trapped in the fantasy online game world Elder Tale. What was once a sword-and-sorcery world is now the real world. The main lead Shiroe attempts to survive with his old friend Naotsugu and the beautiful assassin Akatsuki.

Great anime, worth the watch for sure!
Recommend to try, the pacing for the first 4 episodes is a bit wonky, because they simply aren't going to address the set-up the way they 'should' because this isn't SAO, it has a totally different point -- rather the opposite point actually, the real world as it was, is now irrelevant, including how they got there. So, get straight to the good-stuff and enjoy the ride.
Altho, if you don't know MMOs at all, it can be a bit off-putting obviously, and if you do, the amount of hand-holding they do to explain MMOs is also a little off-putting, not enough to ruin anything at all, but awkward while it lasts.
Fucking awesome anime, and it is NOT a rip-off of SAO, it's original. I honestly liked SAO better, but this is an interesting storyline to follow, and I really enjoyed it!
So, any thoughts on anyone that watches this?
I honestly love this anime, I like the pacing, I like the setting and I really like most of the chars, its working up into a really nice one to watch, totally recommend anyone to at least try it :)
