Elisa is a fashion student, the daughter of a rich farmer in the interior of Rio de Janeiro. The girl's parents disapprove of their daughter's courtship with a young magician named Davi. He performs on the streets of the city and begins to be successful, oblivious to the control of his parents' casino. For Elisa's parents, David has nowhere to drop dead. So they decide to act to separate him from his daughter, hiring a mysterious sniper to kill him. The plan, however, goes wrong: Elisa is hit and dies. David is accused of the crime and ends up in jail. He is imprisoned for many years, long enough for Elisa's sister to become a beautiful woman. Ten years later, Isadora is identical to her sister. Upon leaving prison, David sees the girl and falls in love with her, still touched by the relationship he had with Elisa in the past.
