"Generation Kill" is a television miniseries seen on HBO and is based on Evan Wright's book about his experiences as an embedded reporter with the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion during the Iraq war's first phase in 2003.

Nice series with some nice not-so-standard topics like the insight in the totally clueless command structures and pointlessness of the invasion.
i would even say its better than the pacific, but not as godd as band of brothers
