Yukinari Sasaki has been bullied by girls ever since he was young. Now that he's a high school student, Yukinari has developed gynaphobia - a severe allergic reaction to girls. Whenever a girl gets close or even talks to him, he breaks out in hives. But changes are in store for Yukinari when an altercation with his neighbour and childhood friend Kirie Kojima knocks him through a portal that connects his bath with the bath of Miharu Sena Kanaka - a girl from the world of Seiren. He is surprised when he does not break out or get nervous when she gets close.

EDIT APRIL 2014: Two years ago I watched 2 episodes of this, and the banana bj scene made me just turn it off.
This time I put it on in the background, and just did other stuff as well.
The show isn't good still, BUT, it becomes a little less painfully perverted (and you just kinda get used to it) and it does have some weirdly poignant moral statements.
I notice, more and more, that most harem animes are trying to make a singular point about finding happiness. For Sekirei it's the power, hope, and strength that forming bonds with, connecting to the rest of the world through, other people. For this one, it's an equally simple message, but the way they hammer it in the series finale (last of season 2 that is) is somehow organic, somehow exactly what this show has been building up to the whole time, and somehow perfect.
This show is idiotic, and painful to watch at times, and almost always painful to listen to (tho Japanese acting was a bit better than the English, still not great) -- but for all that, the ending kinda made it worth it for me.
But, I don't know if I can recommend it or not, let the above speak for itself I guess.
