Local choirmaster Michael is perfectly content leading his ramshackle, enthusiastic chorus, with wife Esther singing lead soprano. The arrival of the beautiful and talented Layla throws all into disarray, but when Esther unexpectedly takes up the baton all kinds of little miracles start happening.
