The Híspalis clinic is launched with half a hospital still under construction to solve the aluminosis problems, with the inconveniences that this brings. Delays in the works mean that the hospital does not finish opening and that Don Benjumea goes through financial problems, which forces him to incorporate a new and unexpected majority partner in the clinic. This lack of liquidity forces Don Benjumea to reduce Cristóbal's pay, who suffers because his standard of living drops and he is forced to live with fewer resources, so he asks Jozé for advice to learn to live like a poor man. This learning takes him to Castrofidel, a town where his family had some land. There he finds a buoyant oil company that will be his great hope to have cash again. But, also, there he discovers something that will change the image he has of his father. Meanwhile, Carmen and Iñaki have resumed their relationship, but Iñaki continues living at Koldo's house: they want to go slowly so as not to repeat mistakes. They are clear that nothing is going to ruin it... until Gotzone appears in Donosti with a baby. The gang, surprised, has to hide Gotzone and his son so that Bego and Maritxu don't see them. They get Iñaki to go up north to hear the news in person, but Gotzone disappears, leaving the gang in charge of the baby.
