"The Event" is an emotional high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter, "The Class"), an Everyman who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his fiancee, Leila (Sarah Roemer, "Disturbia"), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history. Sean's quest will send ripples through the lives of an eclectic band of strangers, including: newly elected U.S. President Martinez (Blair Underwood, "Dirty Sexy Money"); Sophia (Emmy Award nominee Laura Innes, "ER"), who is the leader of a mysterious group of detainees; and Sean's shadowy father-in-law (Scott Patterson, "Gilmore Girls"). Their futures are on a collision course in a global conspiracy that could ultimately change the fate of mankind.

Damn, I blame @zqyx for canceling Chuck... You make me sad dude, right @snowyflake? O.O
I just forced myself to watch series finale. I'm gonna miss that constant absurdity ;]
It was a bad show.
They are discussing a possible miniseries on SyFy.

I stopped watching this series. Became boring quite fast.
It was picking up the past few episodes, but episode 18 hit a new low.
"7 days earlier, 5 hours later" + "I haven't told you everything" = nonsense
I'm a bit behind most, only on episode 1x4 now. The only reason I will continue to watch is the hope that things that will be revealed and the story will unfold.
Losing that hope quite fast though.
Is anyone still watching this? I have, but is really isn't worth your time (I just happened to be bored enough every week to check it out). Apparently episode 1x10 was a mid-season finale (it's not returning untill the first of march next year). It was a pretty poor episode which promised a whole lot, and didn't deliver anything (as was to be expected, really). This show is, dare I say it, worse than FlashForward, both on account of the acting and the story.
Tim Surette's reviews (TV.com) are pretty funny though.
this sucks
Man, I tell you this. Show is getting worse and worse by the episode. The acting bad, the dialog is horrible and even the story is not that great. One more episode and that is it.
@gieltjegitaar Yeah me too, it's not really interesting.
Gonna drop this show after seven episodes, just too boring...
it was ok, nothing special. I will keep watching it but the show is nothing new ...
First episode was good !
nice first episode.. will be checking out next ones...
