@anoukvb not to be a complete asshole but my ocd requires that i correct you on your usage of worse, namely that "worse" already implies an escalation and the "more" is redundant. you just use "getting worse" or "getting more bad". sorry for being a grammar douche but if i don't do it, i literally get no sleep. #1 reason i block youtube comments. also yes, i completely agree, this show seems to be going downhill...

people are hating on this a lot but i think it started off exceptionally by being blunt and brutal. right now it has fallen a bit into the cliches but it might pick up the paces soon (i hope). and it's still really not all that bad and some credit needs to be given to the actors who are doing a splendid job (especially the kid who is FANTASTIC).

Started mediocre and it has only gotten worse. The show has reached the point where it's so bad it's good. Only watch if you want to be laughing from start to finish every week.

@az25 Thank you! And I agree, the first episodes were better. I do think the series is still worth watching even though I have the same problems with some of the characters as you do.

@Baltimore I agree. It started off on such a high note with the pilot, that I was expecting something different I guess at this point. The FBI are morons, they need to fix that, but my problem is with the followers at this point. I'm fine with them being Carroll's sheep, buuuuut, it doesn't make any sense to me because James Purefoy is not the man they describe him as in the pilot and the second episode. The man is anything but charming, and I just don't see how a man like that could get people to blindly follow him as they imply. With the exception of Annie Parisse, who I adore, there's a lot of sketchy casting decisions, imo.

Haters should relax though. There's still time for this show, it's early days.

@shanpu Well, the best in this genre ;) And I think my horizon is packed, sometimes you don't see the good stuff because you are standing among idiotic things. Thanks a lot, dumbass. My opinion, your opinion, but fuck me, right?

@pete6110 That's one opinion I get. Since I didn't find Carrol fascinating at all, not even at the beginning, this episode didn't surprise me and didn't bother my opinion of him. For me he has always been a narcisstic idiot/asshole/dumbass. What annoys me is that the FBI people are so incredibly stupid in this show and they don't get anywhere with their investigations. Meanwhile the bad guys are always so 'brilliant' and that focus is something I don't really like ALL THE TIME. Still this show is the best I've seen in a very long time and I am really intrigued to see more.

I absolutely loved this show; best show to come around in a long time which is why I am so unbelievably pissed. Joe Carrol even though he is incredibly evil was in my opinion both controlled and brilliant but in this one episode he lost both and very quickly because he had too much to drink. He's just an average guy who's demented. Deleted all the saved shows and I deleted the timer to record. I was intrigued by the mastermind who posessed conviction and belief which lasted about 5 minutes after he's drunk. And his wife is so hot yet he gets drunk and does some little girl that looks like a boy. He says twice "I love my wife" and then falls to temptation. No character at all. And he kills one of his own believers, just stupid. The bad guy isn't a bad guy anymore, he's just an idiot. Couldn't go back to the show if I wanted to.
