THE FBI estimates there are currently over 300 active serial killers in the United States. What would happen if these killers had a way of communicating and connecting with each other? What if they were able to work together and form alliances across the country? What if one brilliant psychotic serial killer was able to bring them all together and activate a following?

the show started very powerful in its first season , got really messed up and boring in its second but the third season is really gripping and exciting , Jessica Stroup was a nice and a smart edition to the show ! :)
What annoys me the most about this show is the reaction of the general public when Joe's followers pull one of their stunts. Either they scream and keep watching or they whip out their phone to film the whole thing. No running, no fighting just scream and watch
Would have dropped it a long time ago if it weren't for Kevin Bacon's acting and those goddamn cliffhangers.
Oh and: 0.06 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWR01xenttM :D
Shitty, shitty, shitty show. Started with Edgar Allan Poe (my reason to start watching). And to end with what ever this is... And they got another season, hahaha. Wow, just wow
Season 2 is even more ridiculous and awful than season 1. I am definitely not watching this shit any longer. Fucking waste of my time.
Please just kill Claire already.....awful. If you are going to get a cougar, have her just get nailed in every direction like when she was on "Californication", but please don't have her overact so much.
Most people don't get that "The Following" is a comedy show.
I put it on a 2nd screen when I browse reddit, play video games and stuff.
No need to follow the plot at all.
But whenever I do pay attention to it - it's a total cringe-fest and it's fun (in a masochistic way I guess).
Needless to say it's probably the final nail in the coffin for everyone involved in this show.
@BertDenolf Man this show is just sooo great. Every episode is so psycho and mental shiiit. Mindblowing!!
I'm in love with this show, and so is @simonmaes13
yeah, i'm watching the second season now and i have ZERO expectations. frankly, i don't even know why i'm watching it after that horrible season finale.
edit: 2 episodes in and i can't stand it anymore. fuck this i'm done.
I really liked it. It went downhill later on in the season, particularly the finale was not great. I was kind of like "that was it?" I'm hoping season 2 is mostly unconnected to the first or it's probably not going to be great. They are throwing in a lot of good new actors into the next season so hopefully that'll work out. Like if this next season does not center around James Purefoy and he's only like a minor thing that's happening in the background, i think that would be best for the story. I'm not sure why everyone seems to hate it so much, everyone i know in person really liked it. I do have to say that this show would have been 6,000 times better had David Tennant been cast as Joe Carroll. Think about it.
@Christina
"Finally a good show without nudity"
Said no man ever.
Finally a good show without nudity!
(ofc for most of you may suck)
With each episode, this show is getting worse...
So bad it damaged my eyes...i'm blind now :(. I'm not the one who is typing this...it's a friend.
Well, it started out good and became mediocre. I think they could have turned it around and made it great at the end if they hadn't wanted to have a second season. If they'd just said "let's only do one season, but make it amazing" I think they could have pulled it off. That's probably the thing that irritates me most with most of our TV programs in the US; everyone wants to make their show last as long as possible so they can squeeze every cent they can out of it.
The Most Fucking Retarded Show Ever...
Strange.... I can't see a second season being about anything really. SHOW SPOILER Unless Carol really didn't die in the fire.
Horrible horrible horrible show, a biiiig disappointment. Argh.
Just watched the season finale and I gotta say this show is among the worst I have ever watched.

But, as LucasLannister put it in an earlier comment - "This is the perfect show for a Hate-watch."
I really wonder what the whole cast and production crew think when they're done with an episode.
Do they sit down and tell each other what a good job everybody has done and how "awesome" their show is?
I keep bashing "Revolution", but compared to "The Following" it's pure gold.
