Based on the books by Kass Morgan, this show takes place 100 years in the future, when the Earth has been abandoned due to radioactivity. The last surviving humans live on an ark orbiting the planet — but the ark won't last forever. So the repressive regime picks 100 expendable juvenile delinquents to send down to Earth to see if the planet is still habitable.

@likwidsolutions shes obviously a feminazi or SJW piece of shit
@MarinaB What a horrible statement. I can't deny Clarke and other female characters are strong roles but the show "is here to teach us that men are stupid animals and women are wise and awesome"? How bigoted can someone be to just disregard half of the human species and put women on a pedestal. So much for gender equality, sickening.
'nammerda.
This show is so underrated. Too bad we have to wait so long for season 3. :(
back in 2016, so long, blargh...
After marathoning through the show's two seasons, gotta say it was a big surprise, much so for a so-called "teen series" (not at all my cup of tea). Clarke is such an amazing character, and with so much depth, easily the best character on the show.
@Foaman The same network that happens to air Arrow and the Flash, but well, that's okay I guess
@MarinaB That is so true, hard to believe this show airs on the same network that made TVD lol ..
GREAT 2nd season. Really, really amazing 2nd season. This show improved so much I can't actually believe it's CW's.
Amazing show :)
I love the new opening credits <3

The 100 is here to teach us that men are stupid animals and women are wise and awesome. Especially if they are teenage girls. Never thought I would say something like that about a CW teen show lol
I'm loving this season. SHOW SPOILER I was wondering what would happen next fall after the closure of this Mount Weather storyline, but it seems they already have solid plans for the third season, developing this 'City of Lights' plot. Which is pretty good, because I had no expectations when I first started watching this show and now it's getting so much better! Although somewhat cliché, you can see they're planning ahead the entire season before throwing us new episodes. Can't say I remember a filler episode this season so far and I'm glad it got renewed.
If you can get over the cheesy and cringey dialog and the plot holes, this show can be quite entertaining.
@CrimsonLips I guess everything is a matter of perspective. After 8 episodes, I couldn't bear The Tomorrow People anymore. It was just terrible imo, with very boring characters, bad acting and an unbearable protagonist. Almost Human was really good and it's a shame it got cancelled, but I definitely find The 100 more interesting than The Tomorrow People.
@nexexcalibur I can bring like two shows better than this - Almost human and Tomorrow people... and they were cancelled. :(
First 4/5 episodes were senseless, stupid etc. But in time I got used to bad acting and the senseless things, like fluorescence things that eventually don't do any harm even though they're radioactive like fuck, were left by the show mostly.
This show is incredible I don't care what anyone says.
Clark is amazing and Lincoln is just cool.
Not bad at all..
Is it just me or is this show getting better? I mean it in a guilty pleasure kind of way because, obviously, this show is never going to be a masterpiece, but... still.
It seems like they have the grounders' mythology all figured out, the storyline is very solid so far and I'm enjoying everything else (although I don't care about the grown-ups back in the Ark, I'm totally looking forward for more teen cliches here).
Besides, I like its female characters. These sci-fi/teen TV shows usually have the bad habit of characterizing annoying females who everyone hates. I really like these girls though. Even Clarke.
