People are mortal, which is a point driven home by this series that follows people who are facing their imminent mortality. The terminally ill people on ``Time of Death'' are supported by family, friends, health care professionals, and hospice workers. The stories told include those of a single mother with invasive breast cancer; a psychotherapist specializing in death and dying but who, herself, has pancreatic cancer; a veteran with a rare form of cancer; and a young woman who has metastatic melanoma.

God, this show is killing me. It's the single most beautiful thing on air this season.
Phew. If this series isn't like a punch into one's soul, I don't know what is. Maybe it's because I relate as I lost my mother to cancer but it has me crying pretty much the entire time. Because these are real people. And I went through what they went through so it's a trip down a memory lane I'm not fond of doing down but at the same time it's an important thing to address. An elephant in the room getting attention instead of being ignored. We are watching these people in their final moments until The Final Moment. If anything could help you appreciate life more, it's this.
