Lucy, a Diclonius is held prisoner at a lab. When she escapes, she’s shot in the head and falls into the ocean. She manages to survive, but is inflicted with amnesia. Kouta, and his cousin Yuka find Lucy and rename her Nyuu. Nyuu is invited to live with Kouta, but the laboratory is sending assassins to get Lucy back.
