Based on the novel and film of the same name, focuses on the all-star high school football team in the town of Dillon, Texas, where nothing is more important than winning the game come Friday night. This season, the 'Dillon Panthers' are expected to win the State Championship under the guidance of first-year coach, Eric Taylor. However, when the star quarterback Jason Street is paralyzed in the first game of the season, the pressure is on both Coach Taylor and the boys to rise from the tragedy and continue to win games. As the season progresses, from pre-season games to playoffs, Coach Taylor molds the boys into the champions he knows they can be, as well as strong young men.

One of the best shows I've ever seen, and I don't say that alot.
I just finished watching the show again and I have such weird feelings this time around about everything
@Lokatius It certainly is. Just have a look at the pilot, it pretty much sums up the atmosphere of the show. If you're not convinced of its potential after that first episode, then quickly move on to another series :) But I seriously doubt that will be the case ;) Have fun.
Just curious, is it worth watching if your not interested in Football? I haven't seen it yet, but if it is I would recommend it to someone who has nothing to do with Football at all.
@Geido I agree. After season 3, I found myself in a spot where I watched an episode without grasping it entirely, so I didn't watch for about 2 weeks, and after that, it took on an entirely new scope for me. 4 ep's to go, and I'm already feeling sad about it...
Absolutely awesome show. Some quality was lost in later seasons, but overall one of most special shows I've ever watched. It has a lot of heart, something you don't see very often in this way.
Also seems really authentic, but I have no way to be sure seeing as I'm Dutch and I've never been in Texas.
It gets you and you can't let go, great show!
